Clean water has a clean filter behind it

The filter is where water clarity is actually decided. Chemistry sanitizes; the filter polishes. A neglected filter shortens circulation, starves the heater, strains the pump, and turns crystal water dull no matter how perfect the chemistry reads. Filter care on a real schedule is some of the cheapest insurance a pool can buy.

Cartridge systems

Cartridges need more than a hose-down. We tear the housing down, clean each element pleat by pleat, degrease when oils and lotions have blinded the media, inspect bands and end caps for the cracks that signal end of life, and service and reassemble with lubricated o-rings and a recorded clean-pressure baseline. We will tell you honestly when a cartridge is finished — washing a spent element is a ritual, not a service.

DE systems

Diatomaceous-earth filters polish water finer than anything else on a residential pad, and they punish neglect more than anything else too. We break down the grid assembly, wash the grids clean, inspect fabric for tears and manifolds for cracks, reassemble, and recharge with the correct DE dose — not a guess. Torn grids that quietly return DE to the pool get caught here, not after the floor turns powder-white.

Sand systems

Sand beds channel and calcify with age and hard water. We assess backwash behavior and pressure trends, deep-clean the bed when that will genuinely help, and tell you plainly when the media is past it.

Every teardown gets logged — pressure before and after, condition notes, and a forecast of when the next service or replacement is due, so nothing about the filter is ever a surprise.
